Terms of Use – Applicable to comments and private messaging spaces on social media platforms 

Éduc’alcool’s social media commenting and private messaging spaces are open to everyone regardless of age, race, religion, sex, ethnic origin, gender, and sexual orientation. 

Your comments and shares are always welcome and enrich the conversation. 

However, Éduc’alcool also reserves the right to delete a comment or a private message if there is any doubt as to the identity of the author. Impersonation of another person is a serious offense that can result in being banned from the platforms. 

Éduc’alcool reserves the right to ban anyone without warning who contravenes its Netiquette as detailed below. 

When you publish your content or contact the private messaging of Éduc’alcool social media accounts: 

• Make sure to stay on topic. 
• Avoid posting the same content repeatedly, otherwise it will be considered as a spam comment or post and all related comments or posts will be deleted. 
• Show respect: 
  • between users who post a comment or reply to a comment; 
  • towards all Éduc’alcool employees who are connected to a post or the persons quoted in the articles and documents under which you are commenting; 
  • towards the corporate and advertising partners of Éduc’alcool. 
• Make sure that the hyperlinks contained in your comments redirect to sites whose authenticity or credibility we can verify, failing which Éduc’alcool reserves the right to delete the links. 
• You must be the author of your comment. Any violation of copyright is prohibited (this means, for example, copying extracts from other sites without asking permission and without citing the sources). If any part of your comment contains text quoted by another person, that person must be credited, otherwise it will not be accepted and will be deleted. 
• Do not post any content that is likely to offend and that risks exposing any person or group of people to hatred or contempt on grounds of race, origin, colour, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, age, or physical or mental disability. Keep in mind, your comment could be deleted without delay and without warning if it contains any of the following elements: 
  • Hateful remarks, insults or defamatory content towards any person or entity listed in point 3 as outlined above 
  • Vulgar, obscene, or sexually explicit language 
  • Threats or harassment 
  • Attempts to mobilize people for any cause other than the subject outlined in the post and its comments  
  • Content or arguments based on false claims or fake news 
• Respect the privacy of others by not including any personal information (such as a phone number or email address) or private conversation in your content. 
• Make sure your content is personal, not commercial. Avoid sharing commercial promotions and press releases. 

Harassment on any subject will not be tolerated. Once an answer is issued and a clearly expressed message announcing that the discussion will not be continued for any reason is posted, any additional comments or messages will be deleted. 

The main language of communication on Éduc’alcool social media accounts is French. However, and if necessary, we can help you and answer you in English. Please note that any negative or derogatory comments regarding language (towards other Internet users or towards Éduc’alcool employees who manage social media accounts) will not be tolerated and will be deleted immediately. 

At any time, Éduc’alcool reserves the right to close a comment thread or a series of private messages following such an indication and to delete any additional comments or messages.
