Calcoholator
FAVORIBookmarkHaving a drink also means knowing what’s in it.
The Calcoholator is an educational tool designed to estimate your blood alcohol level to help you stay in control of your drinking.
Set your baseline using the Standard Drink Pourer, then follow the steps below :
* The blood alcohol level of drivers under the age of 22, learner drivers, holders of a probationary license, and professional drivers transporting passengers (buses, minibuses, taxis) must be 0 g. Additionally, the blood alcohol level of heavy vehicle drivers must be below 0.05 g/100 ml.
Please Note: This tool is intended for educational and awareness purposes only. It demonstrates how standard drink equivalents and alcohol content (% ABV) vary depending on the type of beverage consumed. Any difference between your input and the actual composition of your drink will affect the accuracy of the results. Because of these variations—along with individual factors like personal tolerance and metabolism—this tool cannot predict your actual blood alcohol concentration (BAC) or your fitness to drive. The Calcoolateur is not a substitute for an official breathalyzer and holds no legal standing.
Never drive or operate machinery after consuming alcohol. In Quebec, selling alcohol to anyone under 18 is illegal. The law enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy (0% BAC) for drivers under 22 or those with a learner’s/probationary license. For drivers aged 22 and older, the legal limit is below 0.08% BAC (80 mg/100 ml).
