Innovating in Hospitality with Alcohol-Free and Low-Alcohol Options
In the restaurant industry, growing interest in low-alcohol and alcohol-free beverages is now part of a lasting transformation in consumption habits. An article published in Les Affaires highlights this shift, driven by a clientele increasingly attentive to health, well-being and choice, as well as by initiatives such as the 28-Day Alcohol-Free Challenge and Dry January.
Within this context, Éduc’alcool, in partnership with Alambika, is rolling out the Bourse Alternalcool (Grant), an initiative designed to support innovation and adaptation among Québec’s bars, hotels and restaurants. Awarded as part of the Lauriers de la gastronomie québécoise, the grant recognizes establishments that diversify their low-alcohol and alcohol-free offerings, invest in staff training and focus on creating a more inclusive and refreshed customer experience.
Beyond financial recognition, this initiative is part of a long-term vision: supporting the industry as it evolves to meet contemporary expectations while remaining competitive and profitable. By also supporting initiatives such as Beyond NOA, a national alcohol-free cocktail competition, Éduc’alcool reaffirms its role as a partner to the hospitality sector and its commitment to promoting environments that foster informed choices.
